THINGS YOU CAN DO TODAY TO PREPAR FOR THE IMPENDING STORM:  Check the supplies you have on hand. Do you have flashlights? Batteries? Water? Canned food or things that can be prepared without heat? Check your prescriptions. Make sure you have five days of any medications on hand.

Walk around the outside of your house. Check for branches that need to be removed. Secure things that could fly around in wind. Then check on your neighbors, especially if they are elderly. Do they have what they need on hand?

Finally -- Don’t forget about your pets! Do you have their food on hand? If you have to leave, make a plan to go to a place where you can take them with you.
